This fortnight's challenge is a technique one, using the emboss resist technique. this technique is so simple, yet so effective. All you need to do is heat emboss a stamped image with clear or white embossing powder and then colour over it with ink, by using either a brayer, daubers or even some sponges. Wipe off any excess ink from your stamped image with a tissue and voila! So very quick and is a perfect way of making your own background paper in whatever colour you need.
The side twist is to use at least one punch, whether it's a shape, border or an image punch.
This stunning first card from Amy also uses two of the gorgeous new colours, Melon Mambo and Soft Suede.
Recipe:
Stamps: Baroque Motifs, All a Flutter, Friendly, Oval All
Paper: Melon Mambo, Soft Suede, Very Vanilla
Ink: Melon Mambo, Soft Suede, Creamy Caramel, Versamark
Accessories: Very Vanilla ribbon, Choc Chip button, thread, clear EP, sponge daubers, crystal effects, eyelet border punch, oval punch, scallop oval punch.
Elaine's beautiful card uses a frame on the front which makes the main image stand out so wonderfully - a great technique!
And the inside look like this...
Recipe:
Stamps: My Sweet Pea, Pocket Silhouettes, Curvy Verses, Occasional Greetings
Paper: Whisper White, Barely Banana, Pumpkin Pie, Sweet Pea Stack, Old Olive
Ink: Bashful Blue, Barely Banana, More Mustard, Pumpkin Pie, Really Rust, Old Olive, Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Eyelet border punch, two-step bird punch, Pumpkin Pie grosgrain ribbon, sponge daubers, white embossing powder
And finally here's mine using a set I very rarely use, Bella's Bloom to make a pretty little background paper design.
Recipe:
Stamps: Hello Again, Bella's Bloom
Papers: Cameo Coral, Ruby Red, Tempting Turquoise, Whisper White, Mellow Moss
Inks: Cameo Coral, Versamark, Tempting Turquoise
Accessories: Tempting Turquoise grosgrain ribbon, Eyelet Border Punch, Extra Large Bird Punch
